Ark Server Rules Where Dino Not Starved When Offline
Yes, yes they can. Be sure to supply them with enough meat, berries or rotten meat. Remember that meat also rots after half-an-hour or so. So you need a LOT to stay offline for a long time.
what can I do, if i have to be offline for more then a day?

Well you need more meat than the "rotting time" is. So, they decay in 30 minutes right? 24 hours * 2 = 48 meat, just to last 24 hours. Aside that; they still need to eat. To be safe, your best bet would be about 70/80 meat.

ya but the problem with that math is meat can only stack in 20's with each have seperate timers so a stack of 20 will last 10 hours but 2 stacks of 20 will still last 10 hours because 2 meat will spoil in 30 minutes. But dinos take a long time to starve in this game plus if they are just sitting there they lose less hunger
If you have to stay offline for more than a day, they ded.
Use Cooked Meat Stacks to 30 last 2 days or more on Idle Dinos. Then for them to actually starve its another 2 days.

Not true at all.
because this system kinda sorta sucks because i have to go to band camp for a week with no computer. Someone guy suggested a sleep mode where dinos do not lose much hunger but they cannot defend
I'm hopeing they enable a guard area feature and give that with wander mode to stay in a radius and auto hunt for meat eaters since berries last so long in stacks of 100
Tamed Dinosaurs dying whilst offline is stupid in my opinion.

They so ded.
If you look, a dino's food goes down very very slowly when not being used. Most of the time the meat on it will spoil before they ever eat it.
Somewhere a dev said it'd take more than a week to starve a dino if they just sit there.
Ah here it is: http://steamcommunity.com/app/346110/discussions/0/615085406665254901/
Make sure they are at max food when logging off and if you feel really anxious, put a stack of cooked meat on them (it decays after a longer time).

Kinda dislike how this is handled. It is nice that they have to eat and stuff but if you go on vacation for a week all your dinos are dead :)

Exactly. stacking tons of meats does nothing since maximum per stack is 20 so you do something like 10 x 20 meats the result will be the same. they spoil at the same rate. yet spoiled meat is 100 per stack and cooked 30 per stack..
